About Us
In 2018 a group of neighbors gathered around a kitchen table in Studio City to discuss saving a local oak woodland from a destructive mansionization project. That day Sunshine Hill Residents Association was born. We are an all-volunteer resident group fighting to preserve and protect the scenic beauty, natural environment, health, safety and welfare of of our hillside community.
We are a California nonprofit public benefit corporation. Our projects and concerns include working to protect oak woodlands in the Santa Monica Mountains, and ensuring the safety and quality of life for all our hillside residents, including wildlife.
Our Mission
To protect, preserve and restore the environmental resources and natural environs of the our hillside community and the surrounding areas of the Santa Monica Mountains for the enjoyment of current and succeeding generations and to initiate, sponsor, promote, organize and carry out plans, programs, and activities that will tend to further these ends.
